my new nikon coolpix S550?

whenever i take pictures with my new nikon coolpix S550 [10 mp] camera, its pictures are either grainy, blurry [no, not due to hand motion] or part of the picture is lighter than the other.

i’ve read about ISO, and right now it’s on auto.
i’ve tried putting it on manual 100 too, but idk, i guess i’m still not satisfied.

i feel like the picture quality isn’t better than my old powershot =/
any ideas, comments, fixes, help?!
